“A community-led vision to transform Merbein into Australia’s Mural Capital!”
STAGE ONE
Merbein’s Early Heritage
The first major installation, celebrating Merbein’s unique heritage, will be on the 160-metre wall of the old IPC building in Merbein’s Game Street — a massive canvas that will become a landmark for the region and re-vitalise our town’s image and economy.
The Heritage Mural to be painted on the wall of the IPC packing shed, Game Street Merbein.
It will depict Merbein’s story including:

Establishment of irrigation settlement (1909)
Early industries Dried Fruit/Citrus/Wine
Soldier settlement (1917)
Palm trees and township identity
Local identities and stories
THE ARTIST
